Jason Tiatia – On Samoan Language Revitalisation
There’s a belief that it takes only one generation to lose a language, but three generations to reverse that process. Jason Tiatia, plays his part in keeping his native language alive by teaching the Certificate in Samoan Language at Ara.
As a former NZ Rugby Sevens team player, he’s also still involved with rugby through Linwood Rugby Club, as Strength and Conditioning Coach and unofficially as Pacific cultural advisor.
