Use a systematic approach to health assessment of a child and their family/whānau that integrates knowledge of child development.
Utilise a structured framework to verbally report and document information accurately from the history and examination, critically analysing the role of the nurse.
Maximise child and family/whānau outcomes through provision of evidence-based care and teaching regarding common health conditions and issues.
Reflect on where and when to refer a child and family/whānau with a specific health need, in order to promote growth and development.
