Description
Examine the stages of physical, cognitive, psychosocial, and emotional development from the neonate through to early adulthood.
Critically analyse the factors that affect the health of infants and children and families/whānau and how this may impact on their development.
Demonstrate knowledge of developmentally appropriate healthcare which promotes, safety and security to optimise the health of infants and children.
Examine developmentally appropriate, comprehensive health assessment practices of an infant/child and their family/whānau.
Demonstrate the application of critical thinking, as it relates to an infant or child's history and physical findings, to ensure timely and appropriate referral.
