Evaluate the role and scope of the nurse in safe assessment and interprofessional management of surgical and/or trauma patient requiring a higher acuity of care.
Apply knowledge of pathophysiology in the assessment of surgical and/or trauma conditions for patients in the surgical setting.
Analyse patient monitoring, diagnostic results and therapeutic interventions from a nursing perspective.
Critically evaluate literature, research, and evidence related to best principles of surgical and trauma nursing practice to enhance patient outcomes.
