EWRB Safety Training

Learn safe working practices for the workplace

Designed to meet the requirements of the Electrical Workers Registration Board, this 20-hour short course must be completed within three months of being issued a Limited Certificate or Trainee Limited Certificate.

It covers:

  • the hazardous nature of electricity
  • the Health and Safety at Work Act
  • known hazards and special hazards
  • safety management of electrical hazards
  • general safety practices in the workplace
  • safe use of tools and test equipment
  • analysing electrical incidents
  • safety and emergency procedures
  • fire safety
  • isolating electrical circuits from the supply of electricity
  • testing electrical circuits to ensure safety prior to reconnection
  • first aid
