Workskills Term 3: Emotions and Life Issues
Our Supported Learning courses are specifically for individuals with intellectual or learning disabilities.
They’re designed to support a successful transition from secondary school to tertiary education. Students can do all four terms, or each term individually.
Learn how to recognise feelings of grief, anger and stress, and how to identify and describe appropriate responses to unsafe situations. Gain strategies for dealing with bullying and abuse, using social media safely and problem solving in social situations. Students can do all four terms or each term individually.
This offering is for year 11-13 students. There are also a limited number of places available for students who are no longer attending school.
Please note: a minimum number of participants is required for this activity to proceed. If you’re not currently in school, please complete an enrolment form and either email it to enrolmentsupport@ara.ac.nz or deliver it in person to our City campus. You’ll also need to provide verified ID with your enrolment. This can be a passport or birth certificate, sighted and verified by Ara admissions staff, a JP, a solicitor/lawyer or a registrar/deputy registrar of the Courts. We also encourage you to provide a third-party authorisation form so we can communicate with your caregiver or nominated person.
