This one-time award has been made available by the Ebert family, following the untimely passing of Andrea in 2017, aged 49. Andrea proudly graduated from Ara’s New Zealand Broadcasting School in the early 1990s and was grateful for the career path this set her up for. Andrea enjoyed a very successful 25 years in the media and advertising industry. One of her many achievements was helping Tahu FM get off the ground. Andrea lived her life with compassion and empathy.
Eligibility
To be eligible for this scholarship you must:
- Have successfully completed at least one year of study at the New Zealand Broadcasting School at Ara
- Be currently enrolled as a domestic or international student
You may also be facing challenges in learning (this could be any sort of challenge, for example, financial, disability, learning difficulties etc).
How to Apply
- Complete and submit an online application form (link below)
- Provide a personal statement, no more than 500 words, that outlines the special circumstances that make you a candidate for this award
- Provide two referee reports (one from a tutor) that comment on your ability to succeed in the Bachelor of Broadcast Communications and attest to your character. Please use the template provided below.
Once you’ve submitted your application, please send your supporting documentation (personal statement, tutor referee and character referee) by the close-off date to: scholarships@ara.ac.nz.
