Bachelor of Design Specialisations
Design is about thinking, solving problems and telling stories. Our Bachelor of Design – available in visual communication, motion design, applied visual art, photography and fashion specialisations – will teach you how to master these skills so you can transform your ideas into reality.
Initially the focus is on core technical skills and learning how design works. Design can happen in any medium - traditional or digital - and in our programme, you’ll learn how to decide which approaches best suit which problems. At the heart of this is developing an understanding of how combinations of images, colours, words, materials and shapes can convey meaning. You’ll also acquire knowledge about the changing role of the creative worker through history - how ideas, art styles and technology have developed together over time. Ideas are central to all this: ideas about society, about how people think, and how society shapes the meaning we give things.
