Postgraduate Health and Science Options
Ara offers seven nursing and health science qualifications at postgraduate level which can be studied online.
These qualifications are suitable for professionals working in areas such as social work, physiotherapy, osteopathy, sports science, nutrition and nursing.
They are:
- Postgraduate Certificate in Health Practice
- Postgraduate Certificate in Professional Supervision
- Postgraduate Diploma in Health Practice
- Postgraduate Diploma in Health Practice (Registered Nurse Prescribing)
- Master of Health Science
- Master of Health Practice
- Master of Nursing
Accredited by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority and the Nursing Council of New Zealand, these programmes are an excellent way to progress your career by specialising in a particular area of need or professional interest. For Registered Nurses, they also provide a pathway to becoming a Registered Nurse Prescriber or a Nurse Practitioner.
All six programmes are delivered online and can be studied part time, allowing you to study when and where it suits you and to fit your studies around work and other commitments.*
To undertake one of these programmes you need to be a Registered Nurse or a health professional.
