The learning outcomes for this course are:
Outline the principles of New Zealand’s electricity generation, transmission and distribution system.
Identify the legislative and safe working requirements associated with high voltage areas.
Outline the principles, installation and testing of earthing and equipotential bonding.
Explain the principles, configuration and components of the Multiple Earthed Neutral (MEN), Separated Extra Low Voltage (SELV) and Protective Extra Low Voltage (PELV) systems.
